What do I need to do to rent a watercraft?
First, you will stop by our silver rental truck. At the rental truck you will complete our rental and liability release form, leave a valid government issued photo ID for the rental, and make your payment. (You can also download a copy of our rental and liability release form HERE to fill out ahead of time.) Then, you will walk down a flight of stairs to our dock on the Brazos River. We will have friendly staff waiting to assist you on the water. After you have had a blast paddling through Cameron Park and/or Baylor University you will make your way back to the dock where our staff will be waiting to assist you off the water. Then, don't forget to stop by the tent to pick up your ID.
How can I pay for my rental?
We take cash, all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Android Pay, and other toughness payment forms.
Do I need to have experience paddling a paddle board, kayak, or canoe?
Our equipment is designed to provide the most stable and enjoyable experience. We have plenty of people come paddle with us for their first time. Our staff will be happy to answer any questions you have.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing clothing that you are comfortable moving around in and possibly getting wet. Sun protection is a must so lightweight long sleeves, full brim hats, and sunscreen are also wise.
Do you provide paddles and life jackets?
Yes, we proved paddles and life jackets with every rental. Our life jackets come in multiple sizes for children and adults.
How old do I have to be to rent?
You must be 18 years of age or older to rent by yourself. For those under 18 years of age we require a parent or legal guardian to sign our release form on your behalf. Please read our guidelines form HERE.
Is there parking near by?
There is free parking across the street at the corner of University Parks Dr. and Franklin Ave.
Do you have lockers or changing rooms?
No, we do not have lockers or changing rooms at this time. We recommend locking your items in your vehicle and we can hold your keys inside the rental truck.
Is there a long wait for boats?
We have a large fleet of boats and the vast majority of the time there is no wait at all.
Do I need a reservation?
No, you do not need a reservation, but if you would like to make sure to have your choice of watercraft it is recommended. If you have a larger group or would like to inquire about a special event please contact us at info@wacopaddlecompany.com.
